About
My story
I started my career working with English learners in traditional educational settings. But over time, I became fascinated by a different challenge: not teaching English, but refining how accomplished, fluent professionals communicate under pressure.
Working with executives from around the world, I noticed something consistent. They were fluent. They understood the language. But in high-stakes conversations, something was getting lost in translation. A slight accent that undermined their authority. Intonation that made them sound less confident. Word choices that didn't quite land the way they intended.
I realized that coaching these professionals required something different than teaching. It required understanding not just English mechanics, but executive presence, boardroom dynamics, and the specific contexts where language and presence intersect. That's what I do now.
My credentials
Master of Arts in TESOL
Teachers College, Columbia University. This degree deepened my understanding of English phonology, morphology, syntax, and pragmatics—the mechanics of language at a level that informs every piece of coaching I do.
Fortune 500 Executive Coaching Experience
I've worked with global executives across industries—financial services, technology, manufacturing, healthcare—in contexts that matter: board presentations, investor pitches, earnings calls, and critical negotiations. I understand the stakes, the pressure, and what it takes to command authority when the room is watching.
My approach
Integration, Not Isolation
Most coaches separate pronunciation from delivery, or grammar from presence. I don't. The way you sound—pronunciation, intonation, clarity—is inseparable from the way you deliver, and both shape your executive presence. I help you integrate all of these into one coherent voice.
Context-Driven Coaching
Coaching isn't abstract. We focus on the real situations where you need to be at your best: a specific presentation, a negotiation, a leadership moment. I'll work with you on the language, delivery, and presence you need in that moment.
Precision Through Understanding
With a deep background in TESOL, I can diagnose exactly what's affecting your clarity or authority. I'm not guessing. I understand the mechanics. That means we can be precise, efficient, and effective in a way that focuses on what actually matters.
I unify what competitors separate.
You could work with an accent reduction coach (pronunciation in isolation), a presentation coach (delivery), and a speech coach (intonation). You'd get fragmented results. I integrate all of these into one coaching practice focused on your executive presence and clarity.
I have the TESOL background most coaches don't.
Knowing that your /th/ sound is getting lost or that your stress pattern is throwing off native speakers—these insights matter. Most accent coaches learn through apprenticeship. I learned through rigorous, advanced study of English linguistics. It shows up in the precision of the coaching.
I work with fluent professionals, not learners.
You don't need to learn English. You need to refine how you sound, and command authority in boardrooms. That's a different skill set, and it's what I specialize in.
